Court documents show that Aubrie Leigh Brown has filed a pro se ( a term meaning they are representing themselves without a lawyer ) motion to withdraw her guilty plea in the 2020 murder of Haley Adams. The motion was recorded in the case proceedings on 2/7/2024.
Records also show that Brown had submitted a pro se notice of appeal on 12/29/23 followed by a Brief of Appeal that was returned to her by the court on 1/25/24 due to it being in the incorrect format.
Brown was one of five defendants who all ultimately took plea deals in the murder. Brown’s plea deal saw her plead guilty to Voluntary Manslaughter for which she was sentenced to 50 years with 30 years to be served in jail.

She is currently incarcerated ( as of 2/23/24 ) at Arrendale State Prison in Raoul, GA. DOC records show that she has a MAX release date of 2/23/2050.
The court has not acted on her motion to withdraw as of the posting of this article.
