Niki Sewell became was first sworn in as the Clerk of Superior Court in 2021 after the retirement of Cindy Brown who had served as the Clerk for 20 years. Sewell had been Brown’s Deputy Clerk at the time and Brown requested that Sewell be appointed as the interim Clerk for the duration of her 3 year term. Sewell sought and won reelection as the Clerk in 2022 for a 4 year term that ends in 2026.
